Project Description

At the border of DUMBO and Vinegar Hill in Brooklyn, a new 7-story, 25 until mixed use property was completed in 2016. Prior to the start of construction for this ground-up development environmental and geotechnical site investigations were required. GRANT used commonly accepted industry practices to investigate and interpret available historical information and characterize environmental and geotechnical conditions regarding the site. An investigation of soil, soil vapor and groundwater were conducted to characterize the site for potential environmental contamination from historic on‐site uses and operations. The proposed sampling event addressed areas of concern, including historic fill, and provided general coverage across the site.
