Project Description
GRANT was contracted by the client to monitor vibrations and movement to verify that construction activities were not negatively impacting the structural stability of adjacent buildings or Transit Authority infrastructure, as the lot abuts the Flushing Main Street Terminal station on the 7-subway line. The monitoring program was developed based on the Support of Excavation (SOE) notes, and GRANT performed 24-hour continuous vibration monitoring and periodic optical monitoring in accordance with NYCTA requirements.
